I like what I'm hearing. Thompson seems to be aware that there is a vacuum to be filled in the Republican field. Conservatives are thirsting for a genuine conservative candidate and many hope that Thompson will fit the bill. Stay tunned...
I like him too, but like many other tough talkers he has the freedom to do so becasue he has no chance of winning the GOP nomination.
ReplyDeleteF. Thompson has a chance. He's already polling, I believe, in the number two spot, right behind Giuliani. They share a lot in common when it comes down to national security, federalism, limited government, etc., but Thompson will have more success down the road when it comes to locking up support among the social conservatives. This is Giuliani's Achilles heal. We'll have to see though, time will tell.
