The narrator of this
BBC report extolls the everyday Cuban's penchant for survival, despite "fifty years of an economic blockade." (In other words, the US is the bad guy in the narrative.) But what about having to survive some fifty years under the iron fist of a malevolent dictator, and being denied the most basic freedoms? Might the policies of Communism in and of themselves have a thing or two to do with the harsh conditions faced daily by Cubans? "Balderdash!" says the BBC.
